A concentrated liquid trivalent chromium based chemical which when diluted with water will form a colourless to an iridescent blue/green protective chromate coating of 50 – 500 mg/m2 on clean, oxide-free aluminium and aluminium alloy surfaces. It is applied by dip process and is approved for aerospace to U.S MIL-DTL-81706 and MIL-DTL-5541 F and for architectural aluminium.

This provides excellent corrosion protection with or without paint and excellent paint or powder adhesion allowing metal deformation after painting.

This is preferred for difficult high-silicon pressure die casting after careful cleaning and can

be used to repair anodised coatings and refresh them before painting.
